- Avoid any chemicals which is causing irritation on your skin because they can worsen yeast infection. Avoid condoms which are lubricated with harmful perfumes and chemicals. Also try to use only medicated soaps which are free from any harmful chemicals.
- Keep your vagina and crotch clean and dry. Probably the best way to treat vaginal and penile yeast infection is to wash the crotch area thoroughly every day using medicated soap which is free from harmful scents and dyes. After washing dry the place with clean cool cotton towel.
- Suppositories, lotions and creams like Monistat, Femstat etc that are available over the counter are also found be very effective in fighting yeast infections. But make sure you take your doctors opinion before using any of these medicines.
- Consuming alcohol and excessive sugars in diet is also linked to yeast infections, try to keep away from alcohol and excessive sugars in food.
